What makes any space a killer value for establishing in semi urban environments?

The rapid population growth has had its fair share of impact on the way that we perceive places and distances. It’s now on the point that any raggedy old place that is even remotely close to the city parameters makes for an ideal place to set up shop and get the business running. Plus there is the cost of actually getting the place, which is almost always a bit on the absurd side and it is especially true of city spaces, where even the rent in a few places seems to be derived from a different galaxy. The problem is all the more severe in countries like India where the cities are already bursting with offices and businesses, making it doubly difficult for newer entrepreneurs who want a commercial space to set up shop.

So it seems rather bleak that you’d get a commercial office space in Chennai (it being one of the busiest cities of India) at an affordable enough rate, let alone get a space at all. But the silver lining here is that due to our humongous population, cities are often forced to expand into the wilderness and city centres no longer hold much significance and that gives us the chance to look at some rather exotic locations for office spaces. With that said, here are a few things to keep in mind if you’ve set your sights on an office space in such a location:
  1. Ambience: The better the view, the less your team is going to get stressed out. Often office locations that are within the immediate outskirts of a city might be not brimming with people like in the city but such spaces are likely less worn out, you would save drastically on renovation costs. Also another thing to look for are pre-existing furnishings because furnished office spaces for rent in Chennai are usually expensive and to make outskirt locations more attractive, builders often go out of their way and furnish the place for you, albeit at a higher rent, but you still save a lot on unnecessary renovations.
  2. Location: There is absolutely no point in choosing a location that strays miles away from the actual main road of commute. As a result, it is much more convenient if the office space is situated in the near vicinity of the connecting road, such as the highway because it does make commute a lot easier.
  3. Location of services nearby: No office can operate without the aid of a few other external services such as courier services, shops and nearby recreational places such as restaurants and banks. Having an office nearby to those locations is utterly essential because these are some basic amenities that boost the operation values of any office.
  4. Parking: Yes, yes it cannot be stressed enough how much proper spaces for parking helps Spaces with proper parking facilities helps the staff focus more on work and worry less about having their vehicles vandalised. It also helps to eliminate traffic jams due to improper parking of vehicles.

So those were a few tips to keep in mind while you hunt for an office space the next time you re-think of shifting it out of the main city. As always, you can contact your nearest real estate broker for more information.
