Fulfilling the Dream of Flying Business Class

Ever since I started traveling due to my work, I always had mixed emotions before a trip. I looked forward to meeting new people and discovering new places, but the prospect of a long time in a seat confined on a plane filled me anxiety every time. Sure, the flights lasting 5 hours or less are bearable. But more than 6 or 7 hours count as long haul flights, at least for me. Often I would find myself envying the suited booted men carrying suitcases, sipping coffee sitting in the business class lounge. The perks and privileges they enjoyed on flight were a whole different matter that I had read about but never experienced.

Limited funds and financial constraints is normally an issue most travelers face. Air travel is already an expensive mode of transportation, so even economy class requires a significant level of savings. Business class is a different story altogether. There is no denying that everyone wants to experience it at least once. Well, it is not as difficult to bag cheap business class tickets as people make it out to be. With the following tips in mind, you can fulfill your dream of flying business class.

1. Make a comparison
There are multiple sites where search engines allow you to make a comparison of fares. The comparisons help you identify the cheapest business class tickets from the countless deals offered on the web.

2. Join a loyalty program
A loyalty program, more commonly known as a frequent flyer program has multiple benefits. Discounts on air tickets and discounted upgradation to business or first class is one of them. As you accumulate airline miles over time, you can eventually redeem them to save a considerable amount of money. However, earning miles requires time, effort and wise thinking.

3. Last minute upgrade
Of course this is not a foolproof way of ensuring you fly business class, but you have nothing to lose. There have been many instances where if the plane’s business class is too empty, the airline will give you a cheap upgrade, provided you ask for it. Try your luck next time.

4. Subscribe for airline mails
Being on the mailing list of different airlines is always a good idea. This way you get notified of good deals as soon as they are released.

5. Be on the lookout for limited offers
Airlines offer discounted and special deals from time to time. You have to bag the opportunity at the right time. This is why remaining vigilant is necessary if you wish to travel cheap. Be on the lookout on all social media forums.

6. Low season flying
This is one of the most common ways of bagging cheap business class tickets. Low season is not a good time for airlines. They are desperate for clients, especially those who fly business class. Fares drop dramatically during the off season. Make sure you take advantage at the right time.
